Kalamazoo Central High School Orchestra Internship
In this rehearsal, I led a high school orchestra in preparing Symphony Concertante No. 1 by Joseph Bologne. We began with scale-based warm-ups to reinforce intonation and tone quality, then explored stylistically appropriate articulations to reflect the Classical era. I also guided students in identifying and shaping important melodic lines to support musical phrasing and ensemble balance.
Advanced Conducting Final Exam
While studying at Western Michigan University, I had the exciting opportunity to conduct the University Symphony Orchestra. I led a fifteen-minute rehearsal where we played through the entire first movement and spent time polishing a few challenging sections.
Maple Street Middle School Orchestra Internship
I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Ben Gudbrandson's Middle School Orchestra during my fourth year at WMU. In these recordings, I led full class rehearsals with a beginning warm-ups.
